Directions

Although we are only 30 minutes drive from Glasgow and 10 minutes from Balloch we can be a little difficult to find if you haven’t visited us before. These directions should help you navigate the last couple miles of country roads, hopefully without too many 3 point turns and arguments about map reading skills..

Portnellan Farm is located on the south shore of Loch Lomond about 2 miles from the village of Gartocharn. If you are using satellite navigation to find us please use the farm name as well as the postcode as some systems leave you a little short.

If you are approaching from Balloch take the second left after entering the 30 mph speed limit onto Ross Loan. If you are coming from Stirling drive through the village of Gartocharn and turn right before leaving the village onto Ross Loan.

Once on Ross Loan follow the road until you come to a gate and gatehouse signposted for Ross Priory (leading to Portnellan Farm). Turn left through the gate and take the first left at the bottom of the road. Continue for about 1 mile past some cottages on the right hand side and a large water pumping station on the left and up to the farm.
