Camper van and motorhome pitches

An off-the-beaten-track camping experience on the shore of Loch Lomond.

Where can I park a campervan near Loch Lomond? On our organic farm at Gartocharn. We take a maximum of 2 or 3 campervans or motorhomes a night, on hard standing with a view over the loch. A pitch costs £35 a night for 2 people. We manage the pitches ourselves and you book with us directly.

Peace and quiet on a working farm

Our pitches sit within 230 acres of private farmland, with panoramic views over Loch Lomond and the Scottish Highlands.

If you want an off-the-beaten-track camping experience, Portnellan Farm is for you. We have an area of hard standing on our organic farm with a beautiful view over the loch.

What to know before you come

  • Dogs are welcome. Please pick up after them and keep them under close control at all times. We are a working farm and there may be cows and calves nearby.
  • You are welcome to have a fire. It must be in a fire pit, not directly on the ground. You must supervise it while it burns. You can buy logs from the farm or rent a fire pit. Just ask.
  • You have direct access to the loch and are welcome to paddle or swim.
  • If you would like a walk around the farm, please talk to us first. We can advise on the best route and any areas to avoid.
  • If you have no kit of your own, we have kayaks and paddleboards to rent. Chris also runs speedboat tours from the farm.
